RentReboot is free to use. A free account monitors 30+ NYC rental sources and emails you the listings that match your budget, neighborhoods and apartment criteria. Paid plans are optional upgrades that add text alerts, real-time delivery, and a few extra signals.

Upcoming Listings forecasts units that may be re-listed soon based on when they were last rented. It does not guarantee that a unit will become available.

Trials, payment and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually according to the option selected at checkout, and annual plans are charged once per year. Eligible renters may be offered a free trial during signup, and students with a valid .edu email address can claim a 21-day trial through the student offer. Payments run through Stripe, subscriptions can be canceled from account settings with no cancellation fee, and access continues to the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Max, at $19.99 per month billed annually, adds everything in Premium plus unlimited text alerts, Upcoming Listings, and Roommate Mode for up to 3 people. Plus, at $2.99 per month billed annually, is a separate plan for NYC affordable-housing lotteries, with saved-building alerts and optional Housing Connect applications. Monthly billing is available for each plan at a higher monthly rate, and the checkout screen confirms the exact renewal price and billing schedule.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Setting up free alerts takes about 60 seconds and no credit card is required. A payment method is only needed if you choose a paid plan, which RentReboot processes through Stripe.

Can I cancel a paid plan?

Yes. Subscriptions can be canceled from account settings and there is no cancellation fee. Access continues through the end of the current billing period.

Is there a free trial?

Can I pay monthly or annually?

Both. Premium, Max and Plus each offer monthly and annual billing, selected at checkout. Annual plans are charged once per year. Both options for the plan you pick are shown side by side during setup.

Do I need an account or a password?

No password is required. You enter an email address, set your criteria, and manage or stop alerts through the private link included in every alert.
